Troy Veterinary Hospital in Troy, Michigan

I started bringing my pets here to Troy Veterinary Hospital after I left my job as a Veterinary Technician at a large private practice, due to medical reasons, about 2 years ago, that was 25 miles away from here. Dr. Tate and her staff have been absolutely wonderful since the first day I met them! They delt with my nervousness and apprehensiveness of actually being a "real client" for the first time ever!! They didn't make me feel like I was overreacting or being overprotective. Dr. Tate was very patient with me as she reviewed my dog & cats long and complicated medical records. She listened to any concerns I had. She answered all of my questions regarding her practice and regarding my pets. Her Technicians, Assistants, and Receptionists are always extremely helpful and friendly. They are also genuinely happy to see my dog when she comes in and they are even happy to see my cat that doesn't like to be there! I would highly, highly recommend Troy Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for a new Veterinarian, new to the area, or in need of a Veterinarian with a new pet. And this is coming from a Technician that worked in a very large high-end private practice for 20 years and in the field for 27 years. It proves that again, It is not the size of your practice, It is the quality of medicine you practice, your staff's professionalism and compassion that makes all the difference!!! My fiance and I have been taking our dogs to Troy Veterinary Hospital for 4 years (2 years for our younger dog). Dr. Tate is amazing and so obviously cares a great deal for her patients. I trust her 100% to do the right thing for animals. Lately we have been seeing Dr. Boensch, who is also absolutely a wonderful veterinarian! Recently we brought our slightly older dog in to have several teeth extracted. We were both extremely nervous to have him put under anesthesia. As many pet owners understand, we love our dogs just as though they are human family members and would be crushed if anything were to happen to them. Dr. Boensch and the wonderful vet tech (I believe her name is Rebecca, I am truly sorry if I have that wrong!) took wonderful care of our dog. Our dog is normally very anxious around strangers but he even ended up bonding with the vet tech. It is 3 days post-surgery and our dog is doing very well. They were very good to us owners as well, taking the time (that they probably really didn't have!) to answer our million questions and being very understanding when we acted like overbearing crazy dog owners.
